Green Team

Dan Maillet, Director, Environmental Management Program, - an associate member of the National Capital Region USGBC (United States Green Building Council), is responsible for overseeing environmental and construction activities for the company. He also oversees the Maintenance Division. Before joining Guest Services in 2003, he operated his own automotive maintenance business and, prior to that, was employed in the construction business and shipping industry where he managed a numerous environmentally sensitive projects. Besides heading up the Green Team, his daily responsibilities include advance review of construction and renovation projects to ensure energy conservation measures are met (lighting, plumbing, materials, disposal methods) and fleet management (vehicle maintenance, disposal and recycling issues, alternative fuel opportunities).
