Wende Smith, SPHR, Director of Training - is responsible for corporate training programs, employee orientation and human capital performance strategies in support of all company operations. Wende provides training to enhance employee skills in preparation for career development opportunities while strengthening individual skills to achieve business results. The Director of Training also teaches environmental awareness through orientation, education, and community outreach. Prior to joining Guest Services, Wende served as the Director of Human Resources for SEK International Institution, a private educational institution, committed to the preservation of the environment. In order to help raise awareness of the importance of conservation and to promote the idea of sustainable development, SEK established a research and teaching center in the Amazon Rain Forest of Ecuador, the Limoncocha Amazon Scientific Research Station.
