Douglas Verner, Vice President, General Counsel - Mr. Verner has been in the hospitality industry since 1984 as in-house counsel to several hotel and food service companies. He joined Guest Services in 2001. Mr. Verner is responsible for the “our Planet” program, Guest Services’ environmental management program. He is also responsible for all legal matters, including compliance with environmental laws, for all Guest Services’ operations.
Mr. Verner has been the owner’s representative during the construction of Guest Services’ new $40 million, 215,000 square foot, LEED – registered produce distribution Warehouse. He is also charged with enhancing “our Planet” training, developing new environmental initiatives, and producing the annual “our Planet” program report.
Mr. Verner earned his bachelor’s degree from Haverford College in 1976, and his juris doctor degree from the University of Oregon in 1981.
