Green Team

Kirk Huserik, NPS Environmental Liaison to NPS - Kirk has worked for Guest Services since 1990 and oversees our marinas, tennis courts, ice skating rinks, the Rock Creek Horse Center and all special events in the region. Kirk has been instrumental in implementing the latest environmental standards in our four marinas, Thompson Boat House, Columbia Island Marina, Washington Sailing Marina and the Tidal Basin. This year Columbia Island Marina was certified as a “Green Marina,” one of the first in the region. Kirk regularly attends the DOI and NPS Environmental Management conferences and seminars.
