January 26, 2009: FRYING GREASE REMOVAL

Issue/Problem: All units with fryers must dispose of the used grease, but this increases the amount of waste sent to landfills.

Solution: Have an approved vendor remove the used grease to be recycled.

Policy: All units must have their grease removed by an approved grease recycler. This grease will then be recycled into other products.

Comments: Please contact the Director of Environmental Programs at 703-849-9399 if you need help locating a vendor who can recycle this grease.
