January 26, 2009: ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT and RECYCLYING

Issue/Problem: Electronic equipment may contain mercury, lead, or other harmful pollutants which may leach into the groundwater if the electronics are placed in a landfill.

Solution: Recycle all old electronic equipment.

Policy: All computers, monitors, printers, copiers, fax machines, microwaves and battery back-up units are recycled. All units must turn in all their all electronic equipment to be recycled to our IT department or maintenance department for recycling.
