January 26, 2009: VEHICLES

Issue/Problem: Petroleum powered vehicles contribute to greenhouse gas build-up.

Solution: Use either hybrid vehicles or vehicles powered by alternate fuels.

Policy: To ensure that the company purchases the most environmentally friendly vehicle for the intended use, Guest Services will review all vehicle purchases to assure hybrid, electric, flexible fuel,  ethanol  [E-85] and CNG vehicles have been considered.

Comments: You must contact the Director of Environmental Programs at 703-849-9399 when considering a vehicle purchase for a Guest Services unit.
